Building the MACK Anthem

| |

Sometimes it’s nice to just build a model instead of designing one. I’ve long been fascinated by the MACK truck. I found it had an awesome parts list, and offered great value. The building exceeded my expectations. There was so much detail in the model and some very interesting building techniques. Here’s a little build log.

LEGO Mack building bed
There’s a bed behind the driver’s seat! You can only see it while building. Later on it’s completely hidden.

MACK Truck cylinders
The cylinders are a more compact form than other technic engines. But they move nicely.

It's amazing how easily the arm snaps on to the trailer. And then it's fixed really well.

The container is a little too heavy for the model and almost topples the truck.

In the end there's a generous amount of small pieces left.
